Tin Can Bay Fenced Off-leash Dog Park

Gympie Regional Council is in the investigation and design stage of developing an off-leash dog park facility in Tin Can Bay and are seeking input from residents and visitors to the area.

The purpose of the survey is to understand the community's location preference and facility requirements for a fenced off-leash dog park in Tin Can Bay.  

Four locations have been identified as part of council’s investigations.

The findings of the community engagement will assist council in directing the final decision for a fenced off-leash dog park in Tin Can Bay.

What is next?

Have your say period is now closed, officers are in the process of preparing the report. The findings of the survey will be taken into account when directing the final decision for a fenced off-leash dog park in Tin Can Bay.

From there, the project will go to tender and once appointed, a contractor will start on construction. At this stage, no date has been set for construction.
