To help reduce the potential risk of payment error, fraud, and cybercrime, Gympie Regional Council has engaged the services of Eftsure to verify Council’s supplier details.
Eftsure is an Australian-owned software company that provides electronic funds transfer (EFT) payment protection by validating ABN, GST registration status, and bank account details to ensure all payments arrive to Council’s suppliers securely. Eftsure provides Council with an independently verified database of payee information while abiding by strict privacy, data protection, and compliance controls.
Organisations that currently use Eftsure include Griffith University, Bega, Pizza Hut, 7-Eleven, and South Burnett Regional Council.
All suppliers must provide business information to Eftsure for independent verification before conducting business and receiving payment from Council.
New or unverified suppliers of Council will receive an email from verifications@gympie.qld.gov.au to verify their details. Details include the business name, ABN, and bank account details. The email will link them to the supplier verification portal on the Eftsure website.
After registering their details, the supplier will receive a call from an Eftsure team member (usually within 24-48 hours) to verify their details.
Finally, suppliers will receive a confirmation email from Eftsure when their data is verified.
Suppliers who need to update their personal or bank account information in their unique Eftsure portal will need to contact Council's Accounts Payable team via email at creditors@gympie.qld.gov.au
Council’s Accounts Payable team will arrange for Eftsure to send the supplier a change request form to the assigned email address in their Eftsure portal.
For more information or to confirm that your verification email is genuine, contact Council on 1300 307 800 or email council@gympie.qld.gov.au.
