Animal Registrations

Registration of all dogs is required in the Gympie region. The current registration period is from 31 October 2021 to 1 November 2022.

Cat registration doesn’t apply, but microchipping of cats is mandatory. Please see your usual vet who will be able to assist you with microchipping.

Council can impound cats and a release charge will apply.

Dog registration renewals

You can pay your dog registration renewal online using Visa or MasterCard. We process all payments in Australian Dollars (AUD).

You can visit either the Town Hall or Kilkivan office to pay for your dog registration. Please bring a copy of your notice with you.
