Back

Create wildflower-inspired patterns with Marni Stuart.

Join us for this unique workshop, part of the Wildflowering by Design exhibition, on display at the Gympie Regional Gallery from January 24 to March 8.

Draw inspiration from local native wildflowers to create stunning nature-based patterns. Explore the art of drawing and mark-making with guidance from Marni Stuart, a talented Surface Pattern Designer, UniSC lecturer, and PhD candidate. Experiment, play, and develop your own collection of sketched patterns inspired by the vibrant flora of our region.

About Marni Stuart: Through her design practice, Marni creates surface patterns that celebrate the native habitats of the Sunshine Coast. Her works are informed by bushland walks, reflecting the experience of being within place and capturing the beauty of endemic florals.

This workshop is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the themes of the Wildflowering by Design exhibition while honing your creative skills. You’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for nature and a collection of personal patterns to inspire future projects.
