Printmaking Collage Workshop with Kate Websdale

Back

The workshop is to encourage fun and exploration using a variety of processes including several mono printing techniques; collage and watercolour.

Kate has enjoyed the journey of exploring 2-dimensional art expression for over 20 years. Initially working with watercolour for some years, she then enjoyed learning about acrylic paint and it's possibilities. Recently she has became interested in the extensive and intriguing possibilities of print making. Creating works that incorporate my areas of artistic interests have had a natural progression towards mixed media. Artistic Experimentation, social connection and an increased engagement in our natural environment have been the greatest personal benefits during this journey. Kate has taught art informally and during the upcoming workshop she looks forward to offering ideas and opportunities for participants to print, paint, glue, draw and have fun being creative.

At the outcome of the workshop it is hoped that participants will take home a small creative work on watercolour paper and a collection of collage that they have handmade and a curiosity to explore more.

Held in conjunction with ‘Drawn Together’ exhibition by members of the Cooloola Coast Art Group on view from 7 June – 13 July 2023. This workshop is supported by Kate Websdale and the Cooloola Coast Art Group.
