Official Opening – ‘Works on Paper’ by Guy Denning

From experimental sketches to life sized graffiti style paste ups, international artist Guy Denning brings to life over 100 artworks of Australian and French service men and women.

Timed to align with Remembrance Day, the exhibition honours military personnel who served in World War I, World War II and post World War II conflicts that hold a connection to the Gympie region. The exhibition is accompanied by thought-provoking artworks from across Denning’s career that delve into social and political themes.

Morning tea refreshments will be served, and everyone is welcome to attend this free event.

Exhibition viewing from 4 October – 16 November during normal Gallery hours, Tuesday to Friday 10am – 4pm and Saturday 10am – 2pm.

Partnering with the Gympie RSL Veteran Centre, a selection of Guy Denning works will also be shown at their offices, 44 Nash Street, Gympie. This pop-up exhibition will be open to the public for viewing from 15 October – 11 November, 9am – 3pm Monday to Friday. A special evening opening event will be held at the Gympie RSL Veteran Centre on Tuesday 15 October from 6pm at 44 Nash Street.
