All in the Words
Members of the Gympie Thread and Fibre Group showcase a diverse array of interpretations of their monthly challenge word.
Formed in 2008 by Robyn Jellicoe, the Gympie Thread and Fibre Group meet monthly sharing works for which a challenge word has been the stimulus.
These challenge words provide an opportunity for members to experiment with different techniques (stitching and embroidery, bookmaking, eco-dying, quilting, painting, twinning, print making and weaving) and materials (fabric, thread, paper, found objects and natural materials).
The artworks highlight the diversity of members’ interpretations of the following words: Texture, Layer, Fragment, Slow, Mark, Shadow and Spring.
All in the Words exhibition runs between 9 January and 15 February 2025.

Open during normal Gallery hours, Tuesday to Friday 10am – 4pm, Saturday 10am – 2pm. Entry is free, all welcome.
