Notice of repeal of Temporary Local Planning Instrument 02/19 – Southside Structure Plan Area and Temporary Local Planning Instrument 03/19 – Protection of Biodiversity Values

In accordance with Section 24 (1) of the Planning Act 2016, on 9 December 2020, Gympie Regional Council resolved to repeal Temporary Local Planning Instrument 02/19 – Southside Structure Plan Area and Temporary Local Planning Instrument 03/19 – Protection of Biodiversity Values (TLPIs).

Accordingly, from 9 December 2020, the TLPIs cease to have effect in the assessment of development applications on land within the Gympie Regional Council Local Government Area, including the Southside Structure Plan Area.

Consequently, any associated major amendments to integrate the TLPIs into the Gympie Regional Council Planning Scheme 2013, will be withdrawn from Amendment Package 3, currently in the State interest review stage of the statutory amendment process.
