customer service standard

Gympie Regional Council (council) is the service provider for drinking water and sewerage services in Gympie, Imbil, Kandanga, Amamoor, Goomeri, Cooloola Cove and Tin Can Bay.

Council recognises that our services are an everyday part of our customers' lives and underpin the wellbeing of our community. With over 14,000 connections, we are committed to being customer-focused and meeting our customers' expectations.

Council is required to develop and adopt a Customer Service Standard as per the Water Supply (Safety and Reliability) Act 2008.

This document outlines our water supply and sewerage Customer Service Standards that align with Council's Customer Service Charter. These Standards apply to all of our water customers and describe what you should expect to receive when dealing with us, as well as your rights and responsibilities as our customer.

What the Customer Service Standard covers:

  • Water quality
  • Water and sewerage service reliability
  • Unplanned water and sewerage interruptions
  • Water restrictions
  • Billing, meter readings and estimates.
