Absence/Presence by ECO TRIO

Back

Three Sunshine Coast-based artists, Helena Jackson-Lloyd, Yanni Van Zijl, and Rosie Lloyd-Giblett—working in collaboration as ECO TRIO—explore the themes of absence and presence within the landscape.

Inspired by John Donohue's ‘Walking in Wonder’ quote on absence and presence, the artists invite viewers to explore the energies of both states within the landscape. Intact landscapes evoke a sacred connection to our source, while stripped landscapes create a longing for what is lost and a disconnection from the source. The exhibition features a diverse range of solo and collaborative artistic expressions, including mixed media, projection, and sculpture.
