Kilkivan Great Horse Ride & Country Weekend Escape
The Kilkivan Great Horse Ride is in its 39th year and has evolved from a communal Trail Ride into an entire weekend of entertainment and activities for the whole family.
The KGHR & Country Weekend Escape is back this year bigger & better than ever before at the Kilkivan Showgrounds!
FREE general admission, Live Music all weekend, Barrel Racing, Ranch Sorting, Handy Horse, Novelties, Fancy Dress, Heavy Horse Demonstrations, Friesians Horse Display, Brook Wild Horsemanship, Dog High Jump Competition, Working Dog demos, Cob & Co Carriage Rides, Light Horse Re-enactment 5th by Light Horse Regiment Gympie Troop, Roping Demonstrations, Mechanical Bull, Line Dancing, Kids Entertainment, a HUGE Cent Auction and much more.
The Main St Markets are also returning in support of the Saturday Main St Parade in the main street Kilkivan. Don’t miss the Kicking Up Dust Youth Talent Competion, Camp Oven Cook-off and Bush Poetry competitions or event better enter for the chance to win some great prizes.
Onsite camping available but booking out fast! Roast Dinner Friday night (must book) Food Vendors attending all weekend to keep your hunger at bay and 2 bars to quench your thirst.
