The Curra Art Group brings ‘A Moment in Time’ to the Gallery

Back

The Curra Art Group is presenting their exhibition “A Moment in Time” at the Gympie Regional Gallery from Thursday, 10 November to Saturday, 24 December, which showcases an eclectic range of paintings and sculptures that reflect the love of living in the Gympie region.

The artists who are a part of the Curra Art Group work in a range of different media, including watercolour, acrylic and oil painting, mosaic, assemblage sculpture, pen and ink, pastels, paper craft and artist journals.

Friendly and welcoming, the group meet weekly at the Curra Community Hall to support and encourage each other. They are an active group who do field trips to many locations around the Gympie and Fraser Coast areas. They employ artists to teach different art techniques to stretch their knowledge of art making.

Every Thursday from 11am – 2pm members of the Curra Art Group will be working within the exhibition demonstrating their art skills. The demonstrations will provide a wonderful opportunity for the local community to meet the talented artists involved in ‘A Moment in Time’.

Join the official opening event at the Gympie Regional Gallery on Saturday, 12 November at 11am.

Entry to the Gympie Regional Gallery at 39 Nash Street is free, with opening hours from 10am to 4pm Tuesday to Saturday.
