Road Closure Notification: Flood Road Widening

Council is committed to improving the road network across the region. Council has allocated funding in the 2024/25 financial year to upgrade a section of Flood Road, East Deep Creek.

Works Proposed:

• Vegetation clearing and earthworks
• Service relocations
• Road pavement widening and realignment
• Asphalt road sealing
• Reinstatement of table drains
• Reinstatement of property accesses impacted by the works, and
• Installation of road signage and pavement markings.

Traffic Management

During the works, both lanes of Flood Road will be closed with local traffic accepted. The works will be carried out under traffic control. Where works are likely to impact access to properties, Council officers will contact the affected residents and businesses to discuss alternate arrangements for access and parking.

Your patience during construction is appreciated. Traffic control measures will be in place to ensure the safety of pedestrians and motorists.

Timing

Construction is programmed to commence in June 2024 and is expected to last three months, construction and weather conditions permitting.
