Archival Project

Council wishes to advise of an upcoming document archival project that will temporarily impact Council’s ability to access some building, plumbing and planning files.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, some of the documents stored at the Channon Street file room have been impacted by mould and must be removed and appropriately treated.

Council has engaged a specialist contractor to remove the files for treatment and then transport them offsite to a holding facility, where they will be scanned and transferred to an electronic format.

This project will ensure the documents are preserved and appropriately stored for years to come.

This process is expected to commence from Monday, 12 August 2024 for approximately six weeks.
