Mary Street to come alive for ‘Pre Muster on Mary’ this August.

Gympie Regional Council is rolling out the welcome mat for the region’s biggest music event ‘Gympie Music Muster’ with a community celebration on 21 August 2024.

‘Pre Muster on Mary’ will host live music, exclusive discounts, shop front displays and the popular Heritage Bus to welcome the Gympie Music Muster and showcase the region’s vibrant community.

Mayor Glen Hartwig said ‘Pre Muster on Mary’ was an opportunity to bring people together and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for the thousands of people who will converge on the region for the Gympie Music Muster on 22-25 August.

“This is about getting into the spirit of the Music Muster and offering an opportunity for residents and visitors to come into Mary Street and check out our cafes, shops, and local businesses while enjoying great live music to warm up for the muster,” Cr Hartwig said.

“Our traders are fantastic advocates for our iconic Mary Street precinct and this is also about showcasing their businesses and celebrating our local hospitality.

“We’re proud of our region and we are so excited to come together and have some fun.”

‘Pre Muster on Mary’ kicks off at 10am Wednesday 21 August. Dress in your best Muster outfit and join in the celebrations.
