Changes to Parking at Town Hall

Project Information

Construction is scheduled to commence in early September to restore the retaining wall that failed during heavy rainfall in January 2022, and to reinstate impacted parking bays. 

Timelines

Start: Early September

Finish: Late 2024, weather permitting

Parking During the Works

During the construction, limited parking will be available at Town Hall, as several parking spaces will be fenced off to accommodate machinery and construction access. The disability parking bay will remain available throughout the works.

Alternative parking options:

• Civic Centre: 32-34 Mellor Street
• Gympie Library: 8-14 Mellor St (Library customers only)
• On-street parking (regulated times apply)

Construction Impact

During the works, standard construction noise is expected

Hours: Works will be conducted between 6am – 6pm Monday to Friday.
