Construction at Town Hall
The project to reinstate the failed retaining wall behind Town Hall is nearing completion. The final stage involves resurfacing the car park, which requires a temporary closure of the entire car park to accommodate the work.

Car Park Closure
Dates: 4:30 PM, Thursday, 24 October until 4:30 PM, Tuesday, 29 October

Alternative parking during the closure:

  • Civic Centre: 32-34 Mellor Street
  • Gympie Library: 8-14 Mellor St (Library customers only)
  • On-Street Parking: Regulated times apply
  • Closest disability parking is located at the front of Town Hall (Caledonian Hill)

Construction Impact

  • Noise: Standard construction noise is expected.
  • Hours: Work will take place from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
