Council's Community Conversations is back, providing support to community groups
Gympie Regional Council's Community Development team will be hitting the road in November to provide support and information to community groups.
Come to one of the six sessions to learn about the support and services available, funding opportunities, project and program planning advice, training and skills development.
Gympie Regional Council Mayor Glen Hartwig encourages the community to get involved.
“It's a great opportunity to talk to council staff and get hands-on help with issues or challenges faced by your community group,
“Whether you are struggling with securing grants and funding, attracting volunteers or skills development with committees. I encourage you to go to a session and chat with the team.” He said.
Six sessions will be held across the Gympie region, scheduled below:
- Tuesday, 19 November from 9.30am - 11.30am at Goomeri Library
- Tuesday, 19 November from 1.30pm - 3.30pm at Kilkivan Bowls Club
- Thursday, 21 November from 9.30am - 11.30pm at Rainbow Beach Community Hall
- Thursday, 21 November from 1.30pm - 3.30pm at Tin Can Bay Library
- Monday, 25 November from 2.30pm - 4.30pm at Gympie Regional Gallery
- Tuesday, 26 November from 9.30am - 11.30am at Kandanga Tennis Club
