Tree Removal Notice - Memorial Park

Gympie Regional Council advises that a Flindersia schottiana (Cudgerie or Bumpy Ash) in Memorial Park, located near the Bandstand requires removal. 

The tree was assessed by a consulting arborist was identified as high risk and poses a risk to public safety. 

If there is any timber worth salvaging, it will be donated to local woodworking clubs 

Scheduled Removal Date: Friday 7 February, weather permitting. 

Replacement: The tree will be replaced with a young tree of the same species. 

Community Safety 

To ensure the safety of the community during the removal process an exclusion zone will be in place and surrounding footpaths will be closed.
