Everyone is invited to the 2025 community prayer breakfast
Gympie Regional Council invites all residents to the 2025 Community Prayer Breakfast on Friday, 28 February, from 6:30 am at Memorial Park, Gympie.
This free community event offers a heartwarming morning of prayer, connection, and enlightenment, complemented by a delicious BBQ breakfast.
The guest speaker for this year’s event is Arthur Shepherd, Chaplain for Queensland Police and the Brisbane Heat Big Bash Cricket team.
Gympie Regional Council Mayor Glen Hartwig highlighted the importance of the event in bringing the community together in a peaceful setting to reflect and give thanks.
“The Community Prayer Breakfast is fast becoming one of the region’s major public gatherings, thanks to the incredible support from our community”, Cr. Hartwig said.
“I would like to thank Reverend Gary McClintock and the Gympie Wesleyan Methodist Church for once again coordinating this wonderful event.
“I also want to thank Arthur Shepherd for his involvement.
“Artie has an incredible story, and I am confident his words of wisdom will inspire and uplift everyone attending.”
Meal tickets are available for $10 per person or $40 for a family meal ticket (5 or more people).
Tickets can be purchased online or at the event and include tea, coffee, and a hot breakfast.
A portion of this year’s proceeds will be donated to The Salvation Army.
