Popes Road and Myall Street Footpath extension

Council wishes to advise of extension works being undertaken on the footpaths of Popes Road and Myall Street, Gympie.

These works aim to improve pathway network connectivity in Gympie by installing a new 840m footpath connection linking Popes Road to the existing pathway on Louisa Street, and Myall Steet to the pathway network on Pine Street.

These works will commence late March with a view to be completed by mid-2025, weather permitting.

Works are being constructed in accordance with Gympie Regional Council Operational Works Approval. Residents along Popes Road and Myall Street will still be able to access their properties. In the event of altered access, residents will be notified.

Appropriate and approved traffic management will be in place and fencing will be erected around each element of the project for the duration of the respective works for public safety and to minimise any unnecessary disruption.
