Black Spot Program intersection upgrades
Council wishes to advise of a series of upgrade works being undertaken at various intersections across Gympie.
These road safety improvements are proudly funded through the Australian Government’s Black Spot Program and aim to enhance safety at the following high-risk areas:
- Louisa Street / Alfred Street
- Duke Street / Jane Street
- Church Street / Calton Hill
- Neerdie Road, Gunalda
Residents near these intersections might experience some noise associated with line marking works.
These will commence in April 2025 and be completed by Easter, weather permitting. The Neerdie Road, Gunalda upgrade works will be completed by the end of the year, weather permitting.
Appropriate and approved traffic management will be in place at each intersection location for the duration of the respective works for public safety and to minimise any unnecessary disruption.
